Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems to protect organizational assets. This role requires a strong technical background in various security technologies, construction principles, and electrical systems. The Security Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive security coverage across physical and digital infrastructures, utilizing expertise in CCTV, computer networking, low voltage systems, sensors, and telecommunication.

Responsibilities



Design and develop security system architectures based on project requirements and schematics. Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and other security hardware. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to construction and electrical systems. Perform maintenance and upgrades on computer hardware, power tools, hand tools, and telecommunication equipment. Conduct site assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security solutions. Collaborate with construction teams during installation phases to ensure compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. Monitor network traffic for security breaches using IDS tools; respond promptly to incidents. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, schematics, and operational procedures. Ensure all installations meet electrical code requirements and low voltage standards. Support integration of mechanical knowledge with electronic security systems for seamless operation.

Experience



Proven experience in security system design or installation within construction or industrial environments. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical and mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with CCTV installation, computer hardware setup, computer networking, sensors, low voltage wiring, and telecommunication systems. Knowledge of electrical principles including schematics interpretation and power tools usage. Familiarity with intrusion detection systems (IDS), sensors, power tools, hand tools, and low voltage wiring techniques. Prior work experience in construction or mechanical environments is preferred but not mandatory. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
