Part Time Every other Weekend

Saturday and Sunday

8am to 8pm

Extra shifts available on statutory holidays

Barber Collins Security is looking for a Part Time Every other Weekend experienced Mobile Patrol Guard. The candidate must be flexible, reliable and dependable; will be required to go to various sites doing both mobile patrol and foot patrol duties as well as Alarm response. . Must be comfortable commuting to Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph.

Please note: Candidates must be able to safely and respectfully operate and maintain company issued vehicles. Therefore, a full G class driver's license with 3 years of driving experience is mandatory as well as a clean driver's abstract (this will be required).

Responsibilities:

Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Interact regularly with the public with importance on good customer service and public relations. Conduct regular motor patrol duties by visiting various sites. Perform regular foot patrol of any interiors and exteriors necessary. Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. Access control for the facility/area. Ensuring that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies. Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents. Perform parking tagging procedure where assigned.

Skills:

Use of force training (preferred). Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field. Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment. Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. Surveillance skills and detail orientation. Integrity and professionalism. Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones. Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Full G class driver's license with 3 + years of driving experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 24 per week
