Security Manager - Administrator.Location: Saskatoon, SK

Salary: $67,905 - $90,539 (depends on experience & qualififcations)
Type of Position: Permanent Full Time
Closing Date: 09/20/2024.GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable for processing inquiries from law enforcement and government agencies while ensuring customers\' security and privacy are protected.
Responsible for Corporate Security\'s response to law enforcement emergency requests. Accountable for assisting with internal, external,
and employee investigations, including the initial intake of harassment and/or violence in the workplace complaints. Accountable for all
aspects of administrative office support, including SAP entry, budgeting, development of work plans, and planning. Responsible for supporting security guard services and access control requirements.LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABILITIES
People
1. Leads, directs and manages staff to ensure the effective use of HR resources. Maximizes performance by selecting (hire external or promote
from within), developing, mentoring and sustaining a high level of expertise among staff. Organize and direct work including prioritizing
assignments, establishing objectives, providing regular performance feedback, conducting year end performance appraisals and taking
necessary corrective action as may be required. Assists in staff career planning, establishes development and succession plans and ensures
relevant HR procedures and policies are followed (provisions of the collective agreement, performance appraisals, discipline, grievance,
etc.). Accountable for provisioning and managing contracted resources as may be required.
2. Accountable for promoting a productive and positive environment for staff that encourages innovation, teamwork, initiative and models
corporate values. Motivates staff by assigning challenging work, planning and managing internal communications and awareness of corporate
direction, mission, plans and activities.
3. Ensures all safety, health, environmental and code of conduct policies, programs and standards are understood and complied with at all times.
4. Proactively identify and action opportunities to increase customer satisfaction (internal and external customers).
Financial
1. Ensure sound financial control within area of responsibility by developing annual operating and capital budgets, monitoring performance
to budget and taking action as appropriate. Develops, negotiates and of responsibility.
Innovation
1. Accountable to research, develop, define and implement innovative long- and short-term plans, policies and objectives. Provides expertise
to senior management providing education, studies and consulting on opportunities that will impact business strategy. Ensures alignment
and integration with the corporate strategic plan and develops plan and operational metrics, including approaches for demonstrating business value.
2. Accountable to proactively identify and action opportunities to improve revenue and growth initiatives, decrease costs, increase customer service levels and increase employee engagement.
3. Accountable to develop opportunities to spark innovation in technology or product service delivery or process improvements.SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Accountable for processing inquiries from law enforcement and government agencies relating to emergency response to bomb threats,
suicides, hostage situations, missing/lost persons, and other serious situations on a 7/24/365 basis. Accountable for accurately documenting
all actions taken and safeguarding evidence for Court purposes. May be required to attend Court to testify/submit evidence on behalf of SaskTel.
2. Accountable for receiving initial complaints from employees and third parties regarding harassment and/or violence in the workplace and
forwarding to appropriate management.
3. Accountable for investigating complaints of unlawful calls and suspected fraud from law enforcement agencies and/or other Telcos.
Advises appropriate management, departments, and/or law enforcement agency of available evidence and ensures that all actions are documented
and evidence is compiled for any subsequent Court action.
4. Accountable for building and sustaining a productive and highly effective relationship with internal departments such as Corporate
Communications, Human Resources, etc. to ensure the successful communication of security to the corporation.
5. Accountable for supporting access control requirements and security guard services in accordance with Corporate Security policies and
procedures. Accountable for reviewing, approving, and documenting criminal record checks, processing deposits/refunds, and monthly
reconciliation of account as required for CEO/CFO certification.
6. Researches, coordinates, and prepares professional documentation including presentations, audit responses, agenda items, security reports, monthly and annual reporting statistics, and work plans in a timely, confidential and creative manner.
7. Accountable to maintain and expand a working knowledge of security issues relating to existing and future strategies, technologies, and
best practice in security management.
8. Participates and is a member of the Workplace Health and Safety group to ensure a high quality of work life for employees.
9. Development, organization, and implementation of Corporate Security team activities.QUALIFICATIONS
1. Diploma in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience in security.
2. Ability to obtain Federal Security clearance.

4. Strong administrative, organizational, project management and research skills; experience in preparation of proposals, Board and Executive items and presentations, professional documentation such as policies and articles would be an asset.
5. Extensive operating experience and knowledge of personal computers and related software applications (SAP, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Word, etc.).
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
