Under the direction of the Security & Investigations Supervisor, the Security Investigator is responsible for investigating fraud, theft,

security incidents and assisting in keeping personnel and assets safe, secure in adherence to the security management program,

standards and all regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities:


Conduct and lead company investigations involving fraud, theft and vandalism. Conduct and facilitate personnel risk assessments Analyze security incident data to identify threats, risks and trends and develop mitigation/investigation plans. Conduct threat and risk assessments on personnel and property. Provide technical physical security recommendations to mitigate risks. Act as a subject matter expert in a security policies, providing advice appropriate, practical and consistent with relevant. legislation, regulations, laws and or industry standards. Provide internal training and awareness for safety and security of employees. Utilize advanced technological skills to compile digital evidence of physical attacks on all corporate assets including personnel


and cyber.


Qualifications:


A four year post secondary degree in Criminology /Justice, plus three years of related experience in using technology to

investigate significant incidents.
Other university or college education may be considered if supported by specialized training related to the position as one of

the following designations is required: Certified Protection Professional, Physical Security Professional, Professional Certified

Investigator, Associate Protection Professional, Certified Protection Officer, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Forensic

Investigator,

OR
A two year diploma in a related discipline plus five years of related investigations, corporate security experience. Team player with the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships both internal and external to Manitoba Hydro. Experience in the preparation of reports and digital evidence for internal investigations and ability to attend criminal/civil court


and internal/external arbitrations to testify on behalf of the Corporation.

Advanced operating and configuration knowledge of Resolver Incident Management and Genetec Security Center security

software.

Advanced interpersonal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare reports and present

recommendations.

Formal Microsoft Office accreditation, or demonstrated advanced capabilities.

Ability to travel throughout the province and work a flexible schedule days, evenings, nights, depending on current risks and

situation.
Must obtain and maintain a current Personnel Risk Assessment and a "Clear" security rating in accordance with Manitoba

Hydro policy P513.
Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Training (provided) and possess and maintain valid class 5 driver's licence.

Salary Range



Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $39.27-$54.35 Hourly,

$75,242.70-$104,154.96 Annually.
