Responsibilities

Job description Our company is looking to hire in Oakville and we are looking to hire security guards for split shifts in the mornings and afternoons. Guards will be given preference based on ability to tolerate flexible schedules and are willing to be on call for any and all shifts. Qualifications:

• Previous security guard experience is a preferred asset but not required
• Previous experience in traffic control an asset
• Law enforcement background an asset
• Must be licensed by the Province as a registered Security Guard and must maintain the license for the duration of employment
• Current first aid and CPR
• Must be physically capable of walking at a brisk pace, running, and climbing stairs (in order to maintain surveillance); be in good overall general health.
• Must be able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing in English
• Must be able to produce documents in Microsoft Word, send and receive e-mails at time of posting.
• Must successfully complete all required courses and training
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
• Have solid report writing skills
• Must be able to ensure own transportation to and from job sites - must have own car or live close to work site.
• Must be willing to use own smartphone to log in and use company app software for report writing and accessing shift schedules.

CURRENTLY HIRING 2-3 GUARDS ASAP FOR SPLIT (MORNING AND AFTERNOON) SHIFTS. SOME CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR OTHER SITES AS WELL. CURRENTLY PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES LIVING IN OAKVILLE. This is not a remote working opportunity. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Casual, Seasonal
Part-time hours: 10-40 per week Salary: $15.00-$17.50 per hour Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability
