At GardaWorld Fort McMurray we are now offering free security training as well as assistance with getting your required qualifications. We understand how valuable your transferrable skills are. You may not have security experience, but we know that your resume doesn\'t tell the whole story.

We\'ve seen people with backgrounds in customer service, retail, and hospitality be very successful as a Security Guard because of their excellent communication skills, their outgoing nature that allows them to build relationships easily, and strong observation skills. In a nutshell, they know when someone needs help and how to do just that.

What does a Security Guard in Fort McMurray do?

• Ensure the protection of people, assets, and property
• Adapt to different situations - Where your experience is an asset
• Monitor access of entryways and exit points
• Conduct preventive surveillance rounds
• Point of contact with authorities and emergency services
• Computer skills (data entry and Microsoft office Suites)

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Fort McMurray

• Obtain your license through
• Have a clear criminal background
• Be eligible to work in Canada
• Must reside within Fort McMurray
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License (NON-GDL)**Picture must be included with resume
