All JTF Security Guards are required to hold a valid British Columbia Security License, have access to a smartphone with data while on shift, and be capable of standing or walking for extended periods of time (when required). JTF Security can assist in providing the information needed to becoming a Professional Security Worker within the province of BC. In order to obtain a Security Workers License, candidates must complete the Basic Security Training (BST) course offered by the Justice Institute of BC (or other approved provider), which is a 40 hour course available online: https://www.jibc.ca/areas-of-study/security/basic-security-training-bst Start working with us as a Professional Security Worker while completing your BST! Still need to complete your BST course? That\xe2\x80\x99s OK! JTF Security has positions for candidates holding an "Under Supervision Security Workers License". This specialized license allows for you to work and train as a security guard prior to completing your BST course. This license is valid for 90 days, and allows for you to take your BST course and obtain your BC Security Workers License while still allowing you to work and train as a security guard.
