We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring property, preventing loss, and responding promptly to incidents. Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the property to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee premises and detect potential threats Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security breaches and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries while ensuring access control measures are upheld Conduct loss prevention activities by observing for suspicious behavior and intervening when appropriate Ensure all security equipment is operational and report any malfunctions or damages

Qualifications

Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred Knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation Strong understanding of loss prevention strategies and protocols Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations Good communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and the public Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work flexible shifts including nights or weekends if required Valid security license or certification as per local regulations is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
