Job Description

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for a security guard to work overnights at a office site in Burnaby.

Total hours per work week: 34

Position hours: Mondays: Midnight - 8am plus Tuesdays to Fridays 1.30am to 8am

Wage: $20/hr

Your Must-Haves:

• A valid BC Security License
• A valid OFA 1
• Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Provide superior customer service to our client and site users
• Perform regular exterior and interior patrols, including mechanical rooms and labs
• Equipment alarm response and monitoring
• Provide access control as per site regulations, including issuing of access cards
• CCTV monitoring
• Investigate security incidents, escalating as necessary
• Maintains a safe environment for all personnel and the public
• Act as a line of emergency response and provide first aid to all site users in a prompt, easily accessible and appropriate manner
• Report all incidences to the Site Supervisor and provide investigation report.

Your Nice to Haves:

• You have resided in Canada for the last five years (for clearance purposes)
• Hold OFA 2
• Class 5 drivers license
