Position: Security Guard

Site: Greenfield Global

City: Chatham, ON

Status: Full-Time

Hours: Continental Rotation (0800-2000/2000-0800)

Pay Rate: $18.79/hour after completion of site training (approximately 84 hours)

Essential Job Functions:

• Implement security measures to protect property and control access/egress to the site.
• Complete documentation for loaded trucks exiting site, ensuring accuracy for border crossing.
• Monitoring CCTV.
• Maintain professionalism, confidence, and confidentiality while interacting with security team, site employees and those involved with logistics.
• Enforce site safety policies and procedures.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure personal, building, and equipment security.
• Maintain a positive, productive work environment through collaboration. Proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to use tact and diplomacy in all aspects of your duties including but not limited to site access and authorization, communication and general inquiries.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must possess Ontario Security Guard License.
• High level of computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail with high focus on accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with precision under pressure.
• Expertise to work safely and in compliance with site safety, health and environmental standards and practices.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

At the time of the interview applicant must be able to produce proof of completion of the following prerequisites: * Proof of double COVID-19 Vaccination

• A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Proficient in English (both oral and written)
• Vulnerable Sector Check may be required
• A Valid First Aid/CPR Level C Certficate

Successful completion of the following requirements provided by Paladin are mandatory prior to placement: * TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods)

• Management of Aggressive Behavior
• Use of Force
• Report Writing
• Additional courses as assigned

Upon hire successful applicants will be required to complete the following Paladin online courses:

• Successful completion of Paladin's online Customer Service
• Successful completion of Paladin's online Patrol Procedures
• Successful completion of Paladin's online Diversity Awareness
• Successful completion of Paladin's online Finding The OHS Manual
• Successful completion of Paladin's online Paladin OHS Orientation
• Successful completion of Paladin's online Dealing with People with Mental Illness
• Successful completion of Paladin's online Workplace Respect
• Successful completion of Paladin's online Slips, Trips and Falls
• Additional courses as assigned.

Certification Requirements (All)

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
