What does a Security Guard in Brantford do?

Enforcement of parking restriction on public/private property in the city of Brantford.

Patrols the assigned area in vehicle and/or foot and issues infraction notices as required.

Records and reports defective traffic control devices and missing and damage signage.

Attends court to present evidence as required.

Responds to complaints and calls for service.

Any other duties as assigned by the parking enforcement supervisor.

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Brantford

Ontario secondary school diploma

2 years of community college in Law and security or related course would be considered an asset.

1 year of experience in parking and//or enforcement would be considered an asset.

Valid Class G Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract.

Knowledge of Municipal parking by-laws

Possess a pleasant, tactful and helpful manner when dealing with the public.

Strong customer service and decision making skills.

Availability to work as required including weekends.

Must be available to work on short notice.

A police clearance is required.
