Location: Ferry Terminal- Campbell River

Shifts: Various days, evenings, and overnight shifts, 24-48 hours per week.

Starting Wage: $18.50/hr +

Job Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public.
• Provide access control and security foot/mobile patrols as needed.
• Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.
• Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures when necessary.
• Using mobile phones and basic computer programs.
• Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.
• Possess excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities.
• Know occupational health and safety regulations \xe2\x80\x93 training provided.
• Perform all duties with high safety standards.

Required Education, Qualifications and Experience

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Ability to remain alert while on duty.
• Ability to to walk/stand long periods.
• Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.
• Possess or be willing to attain a valid BC security worker\'s license.
• Be comfortable using computers.
• Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
• Ability to speak on the radio.
• Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour.
• Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable handling emergencies in a calm manner \xe2\x80\x93 training & support will be provided.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
