Duties

Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent unauthorized access, theft, and vandalism. Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems and other security technology to maintain constant awareness of the premises. Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and employees, managing access points efficiently and professionally. Respond swiftly to emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services. Manage conflict situations with tact and professionalism, de-escalating potential threats while maintaining safety for all parties involved. Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious activity and intervening appropriately. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, inspections, and surveillance footage for accountability and reporting purposes. Enforce security policies and procedures consistently to uphold the safety standards of the organization.

Qualifications

Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain these certifications is a plus. Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) operation and monitoring techniques. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Background in military service or security training is advantageous. Familiarity with loss prevention methods and security protocols. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in surveillance activities. Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts.
