Position Overview:
We are looking for exceptional Security Guards to join our team at our client's construction site for a Mission Critical Facility. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment and requires full open availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be able to commute to both locations.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in all weather conditions, be versatile to work in multiple capacities at the site, provide excellent customer service, and be able to enforce rules and regulations.
This position is for a full-time temporary vacancy.
Position: Construction Site Security Guard
Locations: Etobicoke and Vaughan
Payrate: $18.00/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performing access control provision duties, verifying visitor badges and employee badges.
Escorting medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
Responding to medical emergencies and being prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
Ensure construction workers have PPE on at all times while on site.
Following security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
Performing foot patrols outside the building being constructed.
Assisting client employees with inquiries
Following proper chain of command and procedures for all matters which require escalation.
Performing other duties as directed by the Shift Security Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Ontario Security Guard License
Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
Strong understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures
Be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a team and deliver outstanding customer service
Flexible availability to work various shifts based on business needs
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional setting
OTHER INFORMATION:
Access to your own vehicle is strongly preferred. Some sites are not accessible unless you walk 15-20 minutes from the stop.
Flexible to travel to different locations for the client sites, sometimes within short notice.
Must be available to work all required shift times across both sites.
