plays a key leadership role in managing security operations across multiple
retail and construction sites
in the Edmonton region. This position is responsible for
staff scheduling, site supervision, performance management, and guard training
. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and confident managing a large team in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
Supervise daily field operations and ensure all assigned sites are staffed and operating according to company standards.
Conduct random and scheduled site inspections to verify compliance with safety and security procedures.
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and client inquiries with professionalism and clear communication.
Ensure all guards adhere to company policies, Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act regulations, and site-specific guidelines.
Scheduling & Coverage
Create and maintain weekly schedules for guards across multiple locations.
Handle coverage adjustments, call-offs, and last-minute deployment requests efficiently.
Track attendance, discipline, and performance issues, escalating serious matters to management when required.
Training & Team Development
Onboard, train, and mentor new and existing security personnel.
Conduct field evaluations to ensure guards understand duties and demonstrate professionalism.
Provide coaching, corrective action, and performance feedback.
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate reports on daily operations, site visits, and incidents.
Communicate regularly with Regional and Operations Managers regarding site performance and client satisfaction.
Support client relations by addressing operational concerns and maintaining professional service standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Valid Alberta Security License (mandatory).
Minimum
2-3 years of experience
in security field supervision or related leadership role.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in fast-paced environments.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle (required).
Proficiency with scheduling and reporting software is an asset.
Flexibility to work
days, nights, and weekends
as required.
