Job Description
Under the direction and leadership of the Facility Manager, we are seeking a Security Consultant/Manager to join our ATCO Two Rivers Lodge. The Security Consultant/Manager is responsible for the overall security program and additional work requests of their area, as defined by the Facility Manager. The Security Consultant/Manager anticipates problems and works with the team to resolve them. This is a rotation-based position. Supervision and management:
- Manage ATCO Medical and Security Guards with respect to OFA3 and Security professional duties.
- Ensure that BC Hydro and ATRL HSE personnel are advised of an incident immediately and provide them with all available information
- Monitor and dispatch water treatment alarms and participate in Emergency Response Plan drills and actual events- fire drills, violent person, bomb threats.
- Develop, document, and dispatch all deficiencies noted during patrols for maintenance.
- Gather drug intelligence through observations, surveillance, testing, investigation, and reporting.
- Perform fire watch, report on leaks and smells, address unsecured doors, etc.
- Coordinate Interior foot patrols in all Dorms including those added to the camp during Phase 1 and 2 expansions, Market Place Commissary patrols, the Bean and Retail Coffee Bar patrols, Lounge patrols, and Theatre nightly checks. and cash count
- Regular mobile patrol and wand point checks day/night
- Traffic control, flagging for movement of dorms, equipment etc.
- Radar Enforcement
- Patrol of AFDE, PRHP laydown yard
- Minimum High School diploma in law enforcement, criminal science, security, or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years? experience in security management or similar
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for security operations
- Highly experienced with management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focus
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook
- Valid Driver?s License
- Valid WHMIS and First Aid
- Professional communication skills, oral, and written
