:

Our growing company is currently seeking an experienced Security Alarm Technician. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of alarm systems, access control and surveillance systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform installation of security systems, including wiring, mounting of devices and hardware, network/IP set up & programming,
• Installation of surveillance equipment, including wiring and installation of cameras and associated programming,
• Installation and service of access control systems & associated door hardware,
• Diagnose and repair system issues,
• Train clients on the use of the systems installed,
• Maintain consistent commitment to following best practices and safety procedures,
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with customers & coworkers.

Qualifications:

• Must have 3+ years previous experience in alarm systems, access control & Surveillance,
• DSC intrusion alarms
• Kantech & CDVI
• Hikvision
• Knowledge of computers, networking & IP configurations,
• Able to work at heights using extension ladders & lifts,
• Experience in Fire Panel Monitoring equipment & ULC standards would be an asset (not required)
• Valid Alberta driver's licence and abstract,
• Valid alarm agent licence (can acquire upon hiring)
• Fluent in English: Verbal & written communication,
• Ability to problem solve & adapt to unexpected circumstances,
• Can work independently or in team environment,

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00-$37.00 per hour
