ACCOUNTABILITY:
Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
+ Salary Range: $24.67-$26.65 per hour.
Part-time Temporary to March 31, 2027. This position may be combined with other roles to meet the agency's needs.
The Second-Stage Housing Coordinator supports the Executive Director in planning, developing and constructing the Pavilion Second-Stage Housing Project by working with our consultants, architects and funders to ensure project milestones are completed on time and meet our Project Vision. This position is an in-person position located in the Haileybury office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Direct Service:
- Support the completion of funding applications and funding reports
- Manage project-related communication
- Coordinate meetings and community consultations
- Assist in the preparation of RFP's following procurement policies
- Coordinate and administer local fundraising campaigns
- Create presentations, media releases and documents
- Protect confidentiality
- Assist the Executive Director with Administrative Tasks
- Assist with tasks related to pre-construction and construction to move the project towards completion
- Provide support to other programs as needed
Community Development/Education:
+ Establish and maintain professional relationships with relevant community agencies and institutions
+ Participate in community committees as required
+ Communicate project progress to the community regularly
+ Attend events to promote the project
Administrative Support:
+ Maintain required documentation, including statistics and reports required by funders.
+ Maintain ongoing work for use and modification on future projects
+ Participate in ongoing program evaluation
Human Resources:
+ Participate actively in staff meetings and supervision sessions with the Executive Director
+ Communicate concerns, issues, and problems affecting job performance and program quality to the Executive Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Diploma or degree and 3-5 years of experience in a related field
+ Knowledge of the needs of survivors of gender-based violence
+ Project management experience, construction and/or design experience or fundraising experience is an asset
+ Valid Ontario driver's license or transportation to perform the duties of the role.
+ Vulnerable Sector Check that is satisfactory to the agency.
+ Bilingual French/English preferred
+ Knowledge of the community and surrounding area
+ Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, Zoom, Canva and agency-specific software packages such as Payworks, BambooHR and the WISH client database.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Ability to sit for long periods
+ Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand
+ Ability to understand the speech of another person
+ Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
+ Lifting and carrying items
+ High concentration levels
WORK CONDITIONS:
+ Mainly indoor in an office environment, but will also include site visits
+ Shelter and Community
+ Exposure to individuals in extreme distress and continuous exposure to traumatic stories
+ A regular Monday to Friday schedule with some flexibility to attend community events of benefit to the project
+ Interruption level is moderate
+ Regular travel within the district and occasional travel outside the district is required.
