We have a part-time opportunity (15 hours per week) to join our small but dedicated second stage housing team, supporting women and their children who have experienced intimate partner violence. This role has some flexibility, with hours likely to fall in the late afternoon and early evening, making it an ideal opportunity for students or individuals seeking part-time work with meaningful impact.





As a Housing Support Services Coordinator, you will play a key role in organizing and facilitating community events and workshops that foster connection, empowerment, and access to resources. You will also work directly with program participants to provide essential support and coordinate services that help them achieve their long-term goal of securing safe and affordable permanent housing.

Highlights:




Follow program agreement and coordinate safety planning and case plans, keeping the long-term goal of securing safe and affordable permanent housing and economic empowerment in focus Set participant goals, connect to internal and external resources, and engage in meaningful community activities Utilize a strong knowledge of local supports and services Build partnerships with other service providers to ensure ease of access for participants Maintain a welcoming community space with regular drop-in hours for sharing resources, problem-solving, utilizing technology, and addressing barriers Engage with agencies to find and provide relevant funding, such as daycare and rental subsidies Maintain participant files in accordance with service standards Work collaboratively with property management to ensure a well-rounded resident experience, finding creative solutions to challenging resident situations Assist in organizing and running community events and workshops for residents, which may require after-hours commitments Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficiency, teamwork, and consistency throughout the Housing Support Services team Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Society policy Ensure programs comply with requirements of funding agreements specific to each building Attend and participate in staff meetings, planning meetings, committee meetings, and agency staff meetings Complete administrative reports (e.g., time sheets, payment requisitions) and maintain records regarding client goals and outcomes in accordance with SSVP and relevant stakeholder guidelines Perform other relevant duties as required



Our ideal Housing Coordinator will bring the following:




Completion of a degree/diploma in Social Work, Human Services, or related field Previous experience working within a housing environment Minimum 3 years' experience working with vulnerable populations, including families

Additional Requirements




A criminal record check including a Ministry of Justice Vulnerable Sector Clearance Letter is required prior to hiring
