Metro International Secondary Academy is a registered private secondary school that has been authorized to grant the diploma and credit toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Our programs and services are designed with the focus of helping all students obtain entry into a diverse number of post-secondary programs. We are currently recruiting contract-based instructors for the following subject beginning in April 2023: - AVI4M, Grade 12 Visual Arts We are looking for an energetic and creative person who is comfortable thinking outside the box, at ease with teens and able to deliver the course material in a clear and engaging manner. The ability to work with a diverse student body is essential. Candidate profile: - Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT) is a plus but not required - Must be familiar with the Ministry of Education Curriculum - 2 years of teaching experience preferred - Outstanding expertise in the subject area and ability to provide effective experiential learning - Ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills - Enthusiastic and positive attitude, highly responsible; able to motivate and inspire students - Able to help students with diverse educational backgrounds and learning ability We thank all applicants for your interest in our teaching positions.
