Job Description

Located on Victoria's beautiful inner harbour inside the luxury Hotel Grand Pacific, Fathom Restaurant is one of Victoria's most stunning restaurants and an exceptional dining experience. We offer a unique menu that uses local ingredients inspired by the rugged west coast.

We're looking for a Second Cook to join our close-knit Kitchen team and prepare high quality products. Potential hiring date in mid of August.

What We're Looking For:



Among 2-3 years of recent line cook experience in an upscale establishment

Food Safe certificate (or equivalent)

Creative, with a passion for growing in the field

Proven knife skills

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

Proven ability to follow instructions and implement feedback

Outstanding team player who can work efficiently

Initiative to keep up to date with recipes, portions and presentation specs

Accountable with a high level of integrity and professionalism

Post-secondary education in Culinary Arts an asset.

Pay rate:

$ 26.59 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Victoria, BC V8V 1X3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Application question(s):

Have you worked in a high-volume kitchen or hotel/restaurant environment? Do you have experience working on line stations such as garde manger, saucier, or entremetier? Please describe your experience with preparing mise en place for banquets or service lines. Share an example of a time you worked in a high-pressure service environment and how you handled it.
