Job Description

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the successful candidate will be a results-driven, self-starter who is always looking for opportunities for improvement, and can adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment. The position involves spreading dry fertilizer. Accuracy and timeliness are key.


The position duration is of 6 to 8 weeks, staring in mid April.


Work location: 41 North St, O'Leary, PE C0A 1V0


Wages: $18.00 to $22.00



Safely operate self-propelled spreader which includes GPS technology & computerized application monitors Perform vehicle inspections; clean and perform maintenance to equipment including basic troubleshooting Properly implement all necessary training, as it applies to task and equipment Represent the company in a professional, positive and pleasant manner Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment. Work in production line using designated equipment as directed Perform routine clean up and maintenance of the site. Other duties as assigned.

Perform all tasks with safety being the number one priority Previous experience operating farm equipment or heavy equipment Valid driver's license (Class 1 or 3 would be considered an asset) Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends Ability to work independently High degree of attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task Mechanical aptitude and previous experience working in manufacturing or farm/fertilizer operations would be considered an asset Able to speak and understand the English language proficiently. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. (25 kgs) Must be able and comfortable working at heights
