ABOUT THE POSITION



Soulpepper Theatre is seeking an energetic, organized, and sales-driven Seasonal Sales & Experience Supervisor to help lead our team of Ambassadors during the busy holiday season.

In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee daily operations of Soulpepper's holiday activation, ensuring smooth traffic flow, consistent guest service, and a strong focus on sales performance. You'll motivate, coach, and support a team of Ambassadors to hit sales targets for hot chocolate, donations, and other revenue streams--while maintaining an inviting, festive, and professional environment that reflects the Soulpepper brand.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy, guest-facing setting, has a knack for motivating teams, and understands how to balance operational excellence with strong commercial results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Supervise a team of Sales & Experience Ambassadors to ensure all daily sales and engagement targets are met or exceeded. Provide real-time coaching and feedback to staff to improve sales performance, guest engagement, and efficiency. Actively participate in sales efforts, leading by example--approaching guests, encouraging donations, and promoting hot chocolate and merchandise sales. Oversee crowd management and line flow for photo activations and other high-traffic areas. Monitor staffing levels, breaks, and coverage to ensure the space is always well-supported. Track and report daily sales performance and visitor metrics; communicate progress and opportunities to Soulpepper management. Coordinate with Soulpepper and Young Centre teams to resolve guest concerns, safety issues, or operational challenges quickly and effectively. Maintain presentation standards across the atrium and outdoor areas. Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented environment where staff feel motivated and supported. Support with scheduling, opening/closing duties, and shift handovers as needed. Other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the holiday activation.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS



Proven experience in supervisory or leadership roles in sales, retail, hospitality, or live events. Strong understanding of sales strategy and performance motivation--comfortable setting targets, tracking progress, and celebrating wins. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in a team. Calm and effective under pressure, with strong situational awareness in high-traffic environments. Organized, reliable, and solution-oriented with good judgment and integrity. Confident engaging with guests and coaching others to do the same. Comfortable with both indoor and outdoor duties, including standing for long periods. Passion for the performing arts and creating memorable community experiences. Availability for evenings and weekends from mid-November through December.

WORKING CONDITIONS



In-person at Soulpepper Theatre, Distillery District. Combination of supervisory, guest-facing, and light administrative duties. Standing for long periods; some outdoor work required. Fast-paced, high-traffic holiday environment.

HOURLY WAGE



$25.00/hr
