ABOUT THE POSITION
Soulpepper Theatre is seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, and
sales-driven
individuals to join our team this holiday season. As a
Sales & Experience Ambassador
, you'll be one of the key faces of Soulpepper's holiday activation during the Distillery Winter Village--welcoming guests, driving sales, and ensuring every visitor has a memorable experience.
This role is all about
energy, initiative, and results
. You'll be engaging guests in the Distillery Winter Village to generate donations, encourage hot chocolate and merchandise sales, and invite visitors inside to discover Soulpepper's holiday magic, including photos with Santa. You'll also play a hands-on role in managing lineups, crowd flow, and ensuring the space feels festive, safe, and well-run.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively engage guests
to promote donations to Soulpepper Theatre, hot chocolate sales, tickets to Narnia(a family-friendly musical), and other on-site offers.
Drive toward daily and weekly sales targets
with energy and enthusiasm--helping the team meet goals for hot chocolate, donations, and ticket sales.
Motivate yourself and others
to increase sales when targets are set or when volume slows.
Approach visitors in the Distillery District to invite them into the Soulpepper space and share what's happening inside.
Manage lineups, flow, and crowd control to ensure a smooth guest experience.
Serve as a
brand ambassador
for Soulpepper--informing guests about shows, encouraging ticket purchases, and creating a strong, positive impression of the organization.
Take initiative in identifying sales or engagement opportunities throughout the day.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in the atrium and surrounding areas.
Report any issues, safety concerns, or guest feedback promptly to Soulpepper or Young Centre staff.
Support the successful daily operation of all public-facing holiday activities.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Sales-oriented mindset

who enjoys approaching and engaging with people in a friendly, persuasive way.
Energetic self-starter
who thrives in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; positive attitude under pressure.
Proven experience in
sales, retail, hospitality, or live events
an asset.
Strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability.
Comfortable managing lines and crowds; able to stand for long periods.
Passion for the performing arts and community engagement.
Available evenings and weekends throughout November and December.
WORKING CONDITIONS
In-person at Soulpepper Theatre in the Distillery District.
Standing for extended periods and being outdoors during a variety of weather conditions required.
Busy, high-energy environment during peak holiday periods.
HOURLY WAGE
$20.00/hr +
