Wiseworth Canada is seeking a Labourer with mechanical experience to join our team in Grande Prairie Alberta. You will be supporting our mobile Field Service Technician in providing our customers with responsive service to ensure reliable and efficient operation of industrial air compressors.The ideal candidate is friendly, mechanically inclined, in good physical shape, takes direction well and is driven to provide quality customer service while maintaining Wiseworth\xe2\x80\x99s safety standards. We offer competitive wages and a comprehensive benefit package.This is a temporary full-time position estimated for 6 months; however, the successful candidate may be considered for future permanent full-time employment within the company.

• Provide support and assistance with equipment installations and start-ups, preventive maintenance, diagnostic inspections, and repair of compressed air equipment to ensure equipment is meeting operating and quality standards.
• This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, and kneeling; and consistent use of arms and legs with full range of motion and exerting push and pull forces.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures with continuously changing working environments.
• Daily travel to customer sites located in the Grande Prairie region with occasional travel to sites located in surrounding areas and into BC.
• Employees must adhere to all associated Workplace Health and Safety Program Standards and PPE requirements which may include being clean shaven for some customer sites.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with laptops and hand-held computers and devices (iPhone, iPad).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma. Post secondary and/or related technical training and experience preferred.
• Current H2S Alive and First Aid considered an asset, but training will be given for the right candidate.
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
• Physically fit and can lift 50lbs.
• Good work ethic.
• A valid driver\'s license.
• Competent with power tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
• Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical components.
• Safety oriented.
• Able to work unsupervised, taking direction and completing tasks quickly and efficiently.
• Able to work well with others.
• Good communication skills.
• No criminal record.

This is a field-based position. Travel will be required based on workload and location of work. Work is generally Monday to Friday.Work locations include Grande Prairie and the surrounding areas as well as customers in British Columbia. When working away from Grande Prairie, Wiseworth Canada will provide transportation, accommodation and a daily living out allowance to the remote work locations.Employment start date is April 1.
