EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

SEASONAL - NOVEMBER TO APRIL

The Municipality is now accepting applications for experienced

Equipment Operators to join our team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Equipment Operators are responsible for operating a plow truck and other heavy equipment to perform winter road maintenance, including sanding and salt operations. The Equipment Operators will also be required to perform equipment maintenance as well as labour duties.

This is a C.U.P.E. position

Hourly Rate: $26.19 to $29.63

Hours include weekend work/overtime may also be required

Hours are also dependent upon weather conditions

The ideal candidate will possess:

Valid Class DZ Driver's license Minimum three years performing winter maintenance, operating snowplows/sand & salt trucks. Experience operating light and heavy equipment with the ability to perform required maintenance to ensure vehicles and equipment are in good repair. Clean driver's abstract Ability to work with minimal supervision
