Job Description

Pacifica Nurseries is expanding and needs a seasonally Class 5 driver to assist in deliveries of plant material all over the lower mainland and to the USA. Our fleet consists of the following trucks; 3 ton box trucks, flat deck trucks and trailers, and pickup trucks with goose neck trailer. The successful candidate will be highly organized and able to work independently in addition to being part of a team.

Hiring candidate must have the following experience.

Valid Class 5 License

A clean drivers abstract is a must

Demonstrate a safe and efficient driving environment

Perform regular maintenance and truck check

Valid passport with ability to cross the border into the USA- not necessary but a bonus if you do

Fluent in English

Follow oral and written directions

Available to work overtime hours

Interact with customers onsite in a polite and professional manner

Safely unload and load material as shown by supervisors

Must be able to lift/move at least 50lbs

Work in a safe manner and adhere to safety procedures

Perform other general duties as assigned by management

Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Our trucks are GPS monitored and regulated. Plant knowledge and related industry experience is an asset but not required.

Starting wage depends on experience, to start immediately

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
