Job Description
Gully designs is a small handmade clothing brand specializing in mainly women\'s garments. The location of the job will be in Bidgoods North Plaza (main road, Goulds) with a bus route location right at the end of the parking lot. The business is a retail/studio combo space. Gully is in search of a part time/full time Seamstress specializing in garment construction. Successful applicant(s) will be responsible to complete all aspects of the garment construction process, such as:
- Pattern drafting (preferred skill)
- Fabric cutting
- Skilled I\'m working with stretch knit fabrics.
- Assembling
- Experience/knowledge with sewing on industrial machines with strong knowledge and experience using technical sewing techniques.
- Tailoring
- All necessary pressing and finishing for the garment to be ready to hang for customers.
- Applicants must be respectful/tidy in the work space.
- Casual dress
- On-site parking
- French not required
- 8 hour shift
- Goulds, NL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Working as a seamstress: 2 years (required)
