About the role

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Senior Scrum Master to join our growing team!

Our Data Lab is one of the largest in the country, and data engineering is one of its main pillars. Our ambitions are great and we want you to be part of them. Will you be with us? Here\'s a preview.

On a daily basis, we mainly use cloud technologies. AWS, Databricks, Snowflakes and Informatica-IICS among others. Terraform is our go to tool, Python is our favorite language, and we can\xe2\x80\x99t live without Jenkins! We are responsible for ingesting data from several different sources, but also for sometimes complex transformation of it, in order to serve our scientists with quality data, ready for machine learning and consumption.

In your mission, you will be supported by an agile team including DevOps Engineers, data engineering developers, business systems analysts, AI architects and data architects. We use Scrum as an organizational methodology, helped by our Product Owner (PO) and our Scrum Masters. You will be a key part of our DevOps team since one of our primary goals is to deliver high quality data to our teams of data scientists.

As a Scrum Master, you play a crucial role in facilitating, shaping and reshaping the Agile process to keep the teams engaged and performant.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do here:

  • Act as Scrum Master for multiple teams.
  • Guide the team and organization on how to use the best Agile practices and shape the process to serve the team.
  • Form and chaperon teams to the next level of performance and maturity.
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by connecting them with the right people in the right places.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Lead by example.
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters.
  • Be part of the communities of practice for Scrum Masters.
  • Work closely and manage follow ups with various collaborators: Developers, Data Scientists, Data governance, Security, Product Owners and Architecture.
What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience leading initiatives within IT.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and demonstrate ability to apply it on daily basis.
  • Experience with Scrum and Kanban as a team member or other capacity.
  • Ability and experience leading small to mid sized squads preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to promote collaborative team environments and work well with cross-functional groups.
  • A Scrum Master certification (PSM OR CSM) would be preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge in the insurance field.
  • Experience and knowledge of AWS, Data Engineering, AI Engineering is a plus.
  • Mastery of JIRA, Confluence.
