Your Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to be part of the evolution and enhancement of Integrated Business Applications [IBA] teams, and our journey in adopting the Disciplined Agile methodology. The ideal candidate would have proven experience as a Scrum Master and an Agile Coach, with a successful history of utilizing Agile Software Development methodologies and tools, along with experience of having coached Agile methodologies.

This position will provide guidance, direction, and coaching to the team(s) to encourage the adoption of DA practices, work with the team at varying levels of maturity, empowering teams to become self-directed and self-managing. You can make a difference by helping drive solutions that help increase team and employee satisfaction and company success. In addition to acting as an agile coach, this position will help lead some teams of their own.

Your Key Responsibilities

Guide, coach and motivate the teams with the goal of increasing productivity and staff\'s confidence in their agile ability.

Promote agile methodologies and work collaboratively using Disciplined Agile approaches to deliver IBA initiatives.

Actively support the agile transformation and Disciplined Agile best practices as required.

Prepare and present reports/boards on progress and success of sprints.

Monitor the teams schedule, ensuring stories are completed on time and accepted by the Product Owners.

Promote and support cross team collaborations to manage value stream dependencies.

Facilitate team practices [stand ups, sprint review, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and sprint planning].

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Proven track record as a Scrum Master or CSM

Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values and practices

Understanding of Disciplined Agile is required.

Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.

Experience working in complex, multi-project, multi-team environments.

Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple priorities.

Able to discreetly work with confidential information.

Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with multi-tasking abilities.

A passion and commitment to your own personal development.

Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience

Post-secondary degree ideally related to Information Technology or Management Information Systems

Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a related position.

DASM or DASSM certification is an asset.
