Job Summary Incumbent performs screenings in accordance with the City of Markham Administrative Monetary Penalty System Bylaw. Individuals who receive a penalty notice within the City of Markham who wish to plead guilty with an explanation or wish to proceed to a Hearing must do so by scheduling a screening appointment, which is reviewed by a screening officer. The screening officer may affirm, cancel or offer a reduced penalty in lieu of a Hearing or further dispute and thus avoid unnecessary hearings.
