The primary responsibility of the Screen Print and Embroidery Operator is to master both the manual screen-printing and embroidery processes at Stanfield's. Paying close attention to ensure only the highest quality products are sent to customers. The incumbent will support the Screen-Print and Embroidery Department in all facets, working to meet production deadlines and output set by their manager during key production stages to ensure quality and design remain true to Stanfield's legacy.
Key Responsibilities
Screen Printing Tasks
Manual screen printing
Using the flash and larger dryers, ensuring prints are cured before packaging
Pre-production screen making and re-claiming of screens used in production
Utilization of developing table to transfer printing designs onto the prepared screens
Unpacking and organization of incoming inventory for printing
Folding and order shipment preparation of completed garments
Inventory counts during each stage of production as well as further counts bi-yearly on materials used within the screen-printing department
High attention to detail when using the ink cupping machine to ensure brand integrity
Set up and clean-up of work station(s) daily
Occasional use of the heat seal machine for transfers of specific design elements
Communication with peers and managers throughout the operations
Other tasks and duties assigned by manager
Embroidery Tasks
Operation of the twelve-needle embroidery machine
Setting up the backings and rings for the embroidery process to run smoothly
Responsible for set up, clean up and fixing any quality issues or errors that may occur
Loading of design imagery into the machine
Weekly maintenance of the machine including oiling components, blowing out and cleaning away dust and debris
Bi-yearly inventory counts of materials used in the embroidery process
Education, Skills and Experience
Basic English is needed to read, speak and write
Basic mental math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task, work within a fast-paced environment, and prioritize conflicting demands.
