  • Managing and motivating analysts, and scientists to complete assigned tasks on time and to a high quality standard.
  • With aid from the Department head, managing performance, revenue, and expeditures of the group.
  • Resource allocation.
  • Oversight and leading
  • Method development, validation and transfer of methods used for biopharmaceutical products or raw materials.
  • Responsible for re-evaluating, optimising and troubleshooting methods as required by clients.
  • Responsible for providing guidance to and overseeing analysts and scientists within the department regarding the performance of their activities related to department.
  • Responsible for managing small to mid-sized projects.
  • Monitor and maintain the flow of work and schedule daily/weekly activities of staff.
  • Provide weekly, monthly or as required team updates to the Department Head. This includes safety reports, revenue reports, resource allocation summaries, improvement and new business opportunities, general concerns and any other business.
  • With aid of Department Head, manage staff performance, personnel issues, concerns, etc.
  • Manage resource allocation and project prioritization and work across groups and functions to manage resources efficiently.
  • Provide, lead, and execute solutions to complex problems.
  • Provide mentorship and lead improvement initiatives.


Qualifications
  • Education: MSc/PhD
  • Experience: 5+ years with demonstrated ability to complete more complex role/duties
  • Ability to stand out, think outside the box.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cGMP/GLP
  • Ability to coordinate and manage a group and its workload.
  • Ability to critically interpret and analyze data
  • Able to read, understand, communicate and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Capable of interacting with all levels of management, suppliers and clients.
  • Must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others & independently.
  • Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
  • Travel to other SGS locations or client locations may be required from time to time or lead a group of individuals at Client\xe2\x80\x99s site.
  • Ensures full compliance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies
