The Role: Science Tutor (Remote)

Core Responsibilities (What You'll Accomplish)
Deliver high-tier, individualized
one-on-one and small group instruction in Science
, spanning the Grade 7 to 10 curriculum (integrating key Biology, Chemistry, and Physics concepts).
Evaluate the specific learning styles and challenges of each student to
design dynamic lesson plans
that promote a fundamental understanding of scientific theories and methodologies.
Lead engaging and highly interactive remote sessions using digital whiteboards, simulations, and diverse virtual resources.
Closely track student growth and provide specific, actionable feedback to build their scientific confidence and technical proficiency.
Partner professionally with administrative staff and fellow educators to ensure holistic support for all student goals.
Maintain an up-to-date mastery of
Ontario curriculum standards
(or equivalent Canadian/US frameworks) and the latest innovations in science pedagogy.
Candidate Profile (Your Background)
Academic Foundation:
A Bachelor's degree or higher in a Science field, Engineering, or Education.
Instructional Expertise:
Proven success as an online instructor, with the ability to create comprehensive and effective virtual teaching materials.
Curriculum Knowledge:
Deep familiarity with the
Grade 7-10 Science curriculum
and a repertoire of proven teaching methodologies.
Communication Mastery:
Excellent interpersonal skills paired with a genuine drive to engage students in complex scientific topics.
Virtual Environment:
Demonstrated ability to foster a supportive and stimulating online classroom culture.
