Youll work:
- collaboratively with students, families, Yukon First Nations, community service providers, and educators to identify student concerns and to provide supportive services.
- to assist students, families, and schools in managing or resolving personal, emotional, mental, social and behavioural matters that may affect students overall health, well-being, and their ability to learn effectively.
You must have:
- a Bachelors degree in social work or a related field
- experience providing social work services including: assessments, consultation, case management, psycho-social counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals; and
- experience working with children or youth experiencing social and emotional difficulties.
You must be:
- willing and able to travel within the Yukon; and
- eligible to be registered as a social worker in a Canadian College of Social Workers
Conditions of Employment You must obtain: - a security clearance with vulnerable sector check prior to starting work; and - a valid class 5 driver's licence
