Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to educate passengers on routes and schedules. Bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a bus on designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers during transit. Communicate effectively with passengers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with disabilities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bus interior. Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition; report any mechanical issues as needed. Provide educational information about local landmarks and points of interest during transit. Complete necessary paperwork, including daily logs and incident reports.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities (especially in Spanish) are a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people. Mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform minor troubleshooting. Ability to write clear reports and maintain accurate records related to driving activities. Commercial driving experience preferred; valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for route management and passenger assistance.

Pay: $20.00-$22.50 per hour
