Job Description

Position Summary:

The Before and After School Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and caring environment for school-age children before and after the school day. This role includes working additional hours on PDD(Professional Development) days, school breaks, and full-time hours during the summer program.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage school-age children in fun, age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, games, STEM projects, outdoor play, and group activities. Provide homework assistance and encourage positive social interactions. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment that supports learning and play. Plan and implement activities for full-day programs during PDD days, spring/winter breaks, and summer. Escort or coordinate transportation to and from school as needed. Communicate effectively with families and team members about children's daily experiences. Follow all licensing regulations, safety policies, and center procedures. Assist with snacks and meals following health and nutrition guidelines. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development as required.

Qualifications:

early childhood education coursework preferred. Experience working with children in a group setting (childcare, recreation, or education). CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Dependable, energetic, and positive team player with strong communication skills.

Work Schedule:

Before School:

6:30 AM - 9:00 AM

After School:

(with breaks) 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM]

PD Days & School Breaks:

Full-time hours (typically 8-hour shifts)

Summer Program:

Full-time hours, Monday-Friday
(Schedules may vary based on school calendar and enrollment.)

Compensation:

Pay range: $$18.00-20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Childcare discount available
