The Libraries\' data centre houses more than 600 servers with a storage capacity of 1.5 petabytes.The OpportunityScholars Portal (SP), a digital library initiative sponsored by the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL), and a division of the University of Toronto Libraries, seeks to hire a Scholarly Resources Librarian who has strong technical skills, demonstrated familiarity with metadata best practices in libraries, and is eager to work with diverse stakeholder groups at the local, regional, and national levels.The Scholars Portal Journals platform hosts and preserves over 65 million articles from major publishers and small, local, and open access (OA) presses. The Scholars Portal Books platform hosts over 850,000 books and documents, while also serving as the infrastructure for the Accessible Content ePortal, and as a home for an ever-growing collection of government documents.The Scholarly Resources and Metadata Librarian will lead the teams responsible for maintaining and growing these platforms, working closely with programmers, systems staff, and librarians both at Scholars Portal and UTL, and across the province and country.Responsibilities:
