Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our management team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the staffing schedules of our many nurses and care attendants. This position requires strong clerical and administrative skills, very good spoken and written English, excellent people-skills, as well as proficiency in Excel.
Duties
• Manage and coordinate daily scheduling for staff within the guidelines of operational policies and the applicable union collective agreements., ensuring that all scheduling needs are met promptly and effectively.
• Utilize Excel and ComVida for scheduling-related tasks and maintain organized personnel and other records.
• Provide support on collective agreement interpretation and application.
• Provide support by maintaining daily staffing reports, ordering supplies, filing documents.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a scheduling role in a unionized environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with building and using Excel spreadsheets with formulas.
• Familiarity with ComVida Payroll is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Very good people-skills.
