Edmonton North Zone Soccer Association is an active member of EMSA (Edmonton Minor Soccer Association), which is part of the Alberta Soccer Association and the Canadian Soccer Association and FIFA. ENZSA is a not-for profit organization that concentrates on providing and developing the youth soccer program within the North end of Edmonton.
Reporting to the Executive Director/ Programs Manager this position is responsible for administrative scheduling duties and assisting with the implementation and coordination of events within the program.
Working in a dynamic and continuously changing environment, the successful candidate will require a high attention to detail ability to pivot and think quickly in stressful situations.
The successful candidate must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with an understanding and ability to implement high level items regarding database management. The ability to run macros, create pivot tables and fully understand excel formulas that can better execute your daily tasks is pivotal.
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with youth soccer or scheduling within a sport organization. Experience working within the constraints of a not-for-profit organization will also prove to be useful.
Responsibilities will include
Sports Field and gym acquisition
Attend all required scheduling meetings with user groups
Maintaining the relationship between the City of Edmonton, Edmonton Soccer Facilities and EMSA North
Gain understanding of the scheduling processes and systems in place to facilitate the process
Field Assignment for Club teams & City Wide League
Scheduling games for the outdoor season Spring & Summer
Tier teams and group as needed based on standings
Managing game sheet and score submissions
Scheduling all Tournament games
Tournament Coordinator - act as main point of contact for the event including communication with teams and being on site for the duration of the event. Communicate with all parties ensuring the website, social media ect is up to date as well.
Secure tournament sponsorships and maintain relationships with donors year after year
Manage tournament and event fundraising including 50/50 or basket raffles
Booking practice time for teams
Schedule coach training courses
Manage and track coach training requirements
Process coach security clearance and ensure all league coaches are compliant
Working with coaches on scheduling issues/information/requirements
Provide open communication support to Referee assignors
Provide open communication and support to Field Liners
Provide open communication and support to Technical Trainers
Point of Contact for scheduling related questions for teams
Continuous reporting and tracking of allocated financials for bookings which is provided to the Executive Director Monthly.
This position is full time, in office. There will be some after hour work for board or coach meetings as well as last minute scheduling issues that may arise. Additionally, for tournament(s), or weekend coach training(s) the candidate will need to be fully available during these times.
