We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Scheduler/Inventory Associate to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring timely delivery, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Tasks include scheduling, adjusting production plans, inventory control, receiving and verifying materials, and preparing shipments. Also ensures safety compliance and maintains a clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
General:
Perform manufacturing duties and other related tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following procedures, rules, and safety regulations.
Adhere to occupational health and safety standards.
Scheduling (50%):
Production Planning: Develop, maintain, and manage the weekly production schedule to meet sales forecasts and customer requirements, ensuring optimal production flow and resource allocation
Estimate Ship Dates: Provide accurate estimated ship dates to the RSMs and communicate these dates with relevant teams.
Schedule Adjustments: Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address any delays, resource constraints, or changes in customer requirements.
Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the main contact for all scheduling-related inquiries and decision-making, providing support and information to internal teams
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure alignment between sales orders, production capabilities, and customer requirements.
Project Oversight: Track the progress of in-house projects, identify potential delays or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.
Status Updates: Conduct regular status meetings with the production team to monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure all projects are on track for timely completion.
Process Improvement: Analyze scheduling processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend or implement improvements to streamline production workflows and improve overall efficiency.
Reporting: Provide timely and accurate production status reports and updated shipping dates to the Sales Support team and other key stakeholders.
Receiving/Inventory Control (50%):
Receive deliveries of supplies, materials, and equipment, verifying accuracy against purchase orders.
Complete necessary paperwork for stock items received and restock items as necessary.
Record and maintain inventory records; reconcile stock count with computer-generated reports.
Monitor inventory levels, process orders, and track inventory issues.
Assist with daily/weekly cycle counts and complete physical inventory counts.
Process and document returns (RMA) as required.
Organize and maintain warehouse for efficient material storage and handling.
Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to handle materials as required.
Production Related:
Prepare work by reviewing work order travelers (WOT) and gathering parts for production orders.
Kit, pick, and release parts as per WOT list and organize parts in production bins.
Restock unused parts to inventory.
Shipping Spare Parts:
Verify and prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring items match the shipping records.
Determine the appropriate shipping method and affix shipping labels.
Prepare containers, insert protective materials, and ensure secure packaging.
Operate tier-lift trucks or hand trucks to move shipments.
Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Other:
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
Document actions, errors, and production issues.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
