The Scheduler plays a vital administrative role in ensuring timely, consistent service delivery to clients. This role involves managing client and staff schedules, responding to dynamic service needs, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain accurate schedules for clients and support staff based on availability, qualifications, and client preferences.
Proactively address scheduling conflicts, absences, and last-minute callouts, ensuring continuity of care.
Coordinate shift coverage while minimizing overtime and optimizing staff distribution.
Update and monitor scheduling software and maintain accurate documentation.
Serve as the primary contact for schedule-related inquiries from staff and clients.
Communicate effectively with the Nursing Supervisor and HR Manager to align on staffing issues.
Work from home/in person hybrid position.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours schedule management.
Assist in other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Office Administration or Healthcare Management preferred.
Experience in a scheduling or coordinator role, ideally in a healthcare or home care setting.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in scheduling systems (e.g., AlayaCare, Procura) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
