Scheduler
where you'll play a key role in maintaining and optimizing the Integrated Master Schedule for our high-impact program.
In this role, you'll collaborate across functional departments to analyze forecast vs. baseline variances, run insightful "what-if" scenarios, and ensure schedules are consistently updated to reflect real-time progress. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making by producing accurate, timely management reports that keep our program on track.
Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using industry standards (PMI, PASEG).
Perform critical path and "what-if" scenario analyses to support planning and decision-making.
Integrate sub-schedules from tools like Primavera and Aveva into the IMS.
Track progress and issue updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Earned Value metrics.
Support resource loading, leveling, and multi-project dependency management.
Maintain key project structures: WBS, OBS, RBS, Control Accounts, and the Subcontractor Data Requirements List (SDRL).
Collaborate with functional teams throughout engineering and build phases to ensure schedule and budget alignment.
Coordinate timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
Implement and manage scheduling systems and processes, including baseline change requests.
Ensure timely delivery of weekly and monthly business reporting requirements.
Diploma in a technical discipline (Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience).
2-5 years of scheduling experience, ideally in complex shipyard projects.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required;
Professional Fundamentals certification is an asset.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management and multi-project integration.
Experience with schedule risk analysis (Monte Carlo method) is a plus.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office and analytical tools.
PMI or PMP certification is an asset.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working independently and within integrated teams.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
