Walker's Arthur Compost Facility is looking for a Scalehouse Administrator to join our growing team. In this key role, you'll manage material deliveries to our compost site and support quality assurance testing to ensure the highest standards in our composting process.
You'll be part of a collaborative and safety-focused environment handling a wide variety of organic materials -- including municipal leaf and yard waste, wood, cow manure, and food waste -- all contributing to a more sustainable future.
This position will report directly to the Compost Shift Supervisor on the afternoon shift (Mondays-Thursday, 2:30 pm - 1:00 am).
Starting pay of $23.28
What You'll Be Doing
Accurately enter load and material details into Microsoft Excel and Oracle, including data on physical properties, and generate basic reports.
Use the PCScale program to weigh and document incoming materials.
Communicate daily with loader operators and shift supervisors to direct loads to appropriate areas.
Participate in Environmental Performance and Health & Safety meetings to stay informed on evolving standards.
Support Quality Assurance and Control activities, including performing moisture tests on compost materials.
Maintain compliance with the Walker Safety Management System and contribute to our Superior Safety Culture.
Here's What You Need
High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities -- courteous, tactful, and professional.
Ability to follow directions, work independently, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
