An administration mechanical design position involves managing projects and supporting shop teams by handling documentation, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with standards. This role requires a blend of administrative and technical skills to oversee the transfer of information from new order to completion, ensuring effective communication and organization throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Create work orders for the shop floor
Develop and design mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as Fusion 360
Documentation management, organize project-related documents, including quotes, drawings, correspondence, and schedules
Coordinate with various project stakeholders, including fabricators, and suppliers, to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
Assist in developing and implementing department standards, and ensure projects comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot design issues and implement effective solutions.
Create and organize quality documents
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in CAD software and drafting techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on mechanical design challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects efficiently.
