to join our growing team. This role is essential to the success of our access and containment projects, supporting preconstruction planning and competitive bid development for some of British Columbia's most challenging and high-profile construction sites.
As a Scaffolding Estimator, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver
accurate and strategic cost estimates
for scaffolding systems, shrink wrap, hoists, garbage chutes, and structural shoring. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a solid understanding of temporary structures, site conditions, and the fast-paced nature of construction logistics.
We are expanding quickly, and this position offers the opportunity to grow into a leadership role within our estimating or project management teams.
Key Focus Areas
Scaffolding Estimating & Planning
Prepare detailed cost estimates based on drawings, site visits, and project specifications
Calculate quantities and material/labor requirements for full scaffold setups and access systems
Analyze site conditions, elevations, and logistical constraints to develop buildable solutions
Collaborate with engineering to incorporate technical requirements into proposals
Develop cost breakdowns and scope documentation for internal and client use
Tendering & Client Coordination
Review and interpret project tenders, bid documents, and RFPs
Engage with general contractors, consultants, and site supervisors to clarify project needs
Submit professional, well-structured proposals with supporting diagrams and timelines
Monitor bid results and maintain strong communication with repeat clients and partners
Preconstruction Support & Turnover
Work with project managers to transition estimates into active construction
Attend handoff meetings to communicate pricing logic, assumptions, and staging plans
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal templates, takeoff processes, and cost-tracking systems
Who You Are
You're a construction professional with a
strong technical mindset and field awareness
. You understand how scaffold systems come together -- from base plates to wrap -- and you can translate drawings, elevations, and site constraints into clear, accurate proposals. You're organized, analytical, and confident engaging with both office and site-based stakeholders.
Qualifications
3+ years of estimating experience in
scaffolding
, formwork, or temporary works
Familiarity with
engineered scaffold systems
and related components
Strong skills in
quantity take-offs, access planning, and sequencing
Proficient in
Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam
, and reading PDF/CAD plans
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of
WorkSafeBC regulations and CSA scaffold standards
Valid BC Driver's License for occasional site assessments
A diploma or degree in
Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field
is an asset
