Harrop Procter Forest Products Employment Opportunity Position: sawmill tailer/edger-man/green-chain laborer Wage: Start at $22.00/hr Hours: Full time up to 40 hrs/week A successful candidate must work as part of a team and be self disciplined to work alone. The position requires a positive attitude and must be able to adapt quickly to the every-changing needs of the operation. The position is physically demanding so good physical fitness is required. The tailer position is expected to handle all materials produced by the sawmill\xe2\x80\x99s head rig. This includes all targeted products, side lumber and waste material. The tailer will be required to grade, sticker and handle all products appropriately and according to provided company guidelines. In addition to regular duties as tailer, there will be opportunities to work around the mill yard in varying capacities as needed. Mechanical experience/aptitude, machine operating experience, chainsaw skills, basic math proficiency are all assets. For all duties the successful candidate will receive one on one personalized instruction with an experienced employee. No previous experience is required.
