Garnons Williams Ltd. is an agency that provides residential group homes and day programs for adults with both physical and developmental challenges.We have four group homes and one day program in Nanaimo and another day program in Parksville. Adult residential services are provided in a safe and healthy environment. Our goal is to fully integrate individuals into their community.The starting wage is $21.63/hr. Every 2000 hours there is a wage increase.The position is an average of 37.5 hours/week. The rotation is 4 days on, 2 days off. Shifts vary between days and evenings per rotation. Additional hours are available by submitting an availability.After 3 months you will be eligible for full benefit package and paid sick time. After 6 months you eligible for paid vacation time.As per union regulations, this job has been posted within the agency for seven days. Residential Care Worker Job Summary: To provide care and support to the clients in all aspects of personal, physical, medical, emotional, financial, social, leisure and cultural needs in a safe and comfortable manner. To actively participate in maintaining positive communication lines, among co - workers, managers, employer, community and other professionals. To have the abilities and skills necessary to work as a team player. To maintain the upkeep of the household and its properties including the vehicles, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.Job Requirements: 19 years of age or older Education or experience in health care or community support is an asset Current First Aid certificate with CPR Ability to obtain a Class 4 drivers license Clean criminal record check (new one obtained upon hire) Recent TB test (within two years) Hepatitis B inoculations (or waiver can be provided)COVID-19 vaccinations are mandatory.COVID-19 considerations:
