We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven SAP Plant Maintenance (Enterprise Asset Management - EAM) specialist to lead, advise, and implement SAP solutions for our clients. This role requires a dynamic professional with deep experience in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and related modules, strong consulting skills, and proven expertise in delivering enterprise-grade asset management solutions. This is a full-time employment engagement.
The successful candidate will combine functional SAP EAM knowledge with client advisory, configuration, and solution delivery expertise. Experience in end-to-end asset management processes (preventive, corrective, predictive) and multiple full life cycle implementations is essential. Familiarity with Neptune Software and SAP BTP is considered an asset.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Solution Design and Architecture
Lead the design and implementation of SAP EAM (Plant Maintenance) solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational needs.
Oversee configuration and customization of SAP PM and related modules (MM, FICO, HCM).
Translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable, and user-friendly SAP solutions.
2. Client Engagement & Advisory
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert recommendations to optimize asset management practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader organizational processes.
Support knowledge transfer and adoption through client workshops and training.
Our clients are based in both Canada and the United States. Successful applicants must be legally authorized to work in either country.
3. Development Guidance & Integration
Provide direction to development teams on custom features, enhancements, and integrations.
Create, review and collaborate on Functional and Technical Specification documentation to support Custom Development for customers and S4A Products
Work closely with technical resources to ensure quality, timely delivery, and functional alignment.
4. Testing, Implementation & Support
Develop and execute functional test plans, including unit, integration, regression, and acceptance testing.
Guide clients through implementation phases and provide ongoing support (break/fix, enhancements, monitoring).
Deliver SAP training to client personnel, enabling continuous improvement.
5. Continuous Improvement
Define and drive best practices and methodologies for SAP EAM implementations.
Stay current with SAP advancements, industry trends, and EAM best practices.
Core Competencies
Technical Skills
5+ years of hands-on SAP EAM (Plant Maintenance) experience.
Minimum 3 full life cycle SAP implementations.
Strong knowledge of preventative, corrective, and predictive asset management.
Experience with SAP modules beyond EAM (MM, Fiori, BTP).
SAP upgrade experience is an asset.
Consulting & Communication
Strong business acumen and consulting experience.
Clear verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
Ability to build trusted client relationships and deliver value consistently.
Organizational & Analytical Skills
Skilled at gathering and analyzing business requirements.
Strong time management and detail orientation under tight project deadlines.
Capable of diagnosing and resolving complex functional issues.
Education
University degree preferred.
SAP Certification is an asset.
Ability to travel within Canada and the US.
