About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

SAP IS-U Billing Consultant

to join our Utilities practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in

SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities)

with a primary focus on

Billing and Invoicing

,

Device Management

, and

Customer Service

processes. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical experts to design, configure, and support end-to-end billing solutions for electricity, gas, or water utilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the

design, configuration, and implementation

of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing processes. Analyze

business requirements

and translate them into functional specifications and system configurations. Configure billing master data (rate categories, rate types, price determination, schemas, operands, and billing classes). Manage

billing and invoicing processes

including periodic, interim, and final billing scenarios. Integrate with

Device Management (DM)

,

FICA (Financial Contract Accounting)

, and

CRM

modules for end-to-end process coverage. Conduct

unit testing, integration testing

, and

UAT support

with business users. Troubleshoot billing and invoicing errors and provide timely production support. Work on

custom enhancements

with ABAP developers (e.g., user exits, BAdIs, and reports). Participate in

solution design workshops, documentation, and knowledge transfer

. Ensure compliance with

regulatory and market standards

within the utilities sector. Provide

post go-live support

and continuous improvement recommendations.

Required Skills and Experience

5+ years

of hands-on experience in

SAP IS-U Billing

configuration and implementation. Strong understanding of

SAP IS-U core modules

- Billing, Invoicing, Device Management, FICA, and Customer Service. Experience with

billing schema design

,

rate configuration

, and

mass billing processes

. Proven track record of working in

utility industry projects

(electricity, gas, or water). Ability to work closely with

functional and technical teams

to ensure seamless solution delivery. Knowledge of

integration with SAP CRM, ECC, and S/4HANA Utilities

is an asset. Excellent

problem-solving, documentation, and communication

skills.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP Certification in

IS-U / Utilities

. Experience with

S/4HANA Utilities

or

SAP Cloud for Utilities (C4U)

. Basic understanding of

ABAP debugging

and

interface troubleshooting (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs)

. Familiarity with

Smart Metering

and

Market Communication (MDUS/MDM)

.

Education

Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems

, or a related field.

SAP IS-U training or certification

preferred.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and conceptual thinking. Effective stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication. Ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team. Flexible and adaptable in fast-paced project environments.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $80.00-$85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
